Read MoreAs the desert begins to warm and the days stretch just a little longer, we’re entering a sacred season at Saguaro Christian Church—one shaped by vision and rooted in the stories that make us who we are.
This is a time to gather around the campfire of community and listen deeply to the voices among us. To trace God’s faithfulness not just in scripture, but in the lives of the people who make this place the holy one it is—their journeys, their questions, their quiet courage. As we explore our guiding vision together, we’ll discover how it pulses in real time through acts of service, the resilience of our older generations, the wonder of our younger ones, and the dreams of those standing on the threshold of something new.

We'll begin in the sanctuary for worship, move outside to dedicate the pollinator garden and bury the time capsule, then go into the Saguaro Center for a spaghetti lunch (hosted by Quail Hour) and congregational meeting (to vote on our budget and approve leaders).
Bring sunglasses, wear a spring/floral outfit, and dust off those old big church hats if you have one for our garden party! We can't wait to see you there!
This past Sunday during worship, Pastor Kelley talked about her stained-glass art class. Since so many of y'all asked about this process and what her creation looked like, we've gathered a few of her pictures to show the process unfolding. The class was taught by The Glass Desert.

“An Opportune Time.” comes from Luke’s Gospel, right after Jesus is baptized. From that moment forward, everything shifts. His life, his purpose, his calling—it all unfolds piece by piece. That’s what Lent offers us, too. A chance to move forward. To let go of what holds us back and embrace something deeper. A time to be shaped, stretched, and maybe even surprised by what we find along the way.

The questions of how and why seem to pop up more often than not in this time.
And so, shall we approach this moment, with open hearts and an unwavering commitment to the call of Jesus—a call that invites us to love, to act, and to create a world where all God’s children can flourish.

Epiphany: a manifestation, a showing forth
Epiphany is where “O Come Let Us Adore Him” becomes “Go Tell It on the Mountain.” In Advent we spin inward in an effort to make room for Jesus’ coming. At Christmas we celebrate the beautiful and scandalous birth of Jesus. And in Epiphany we are sent out with the light, to be a light.
