As we begin a new year at SCC, we are beginning not with plans or programs, but with presence. We are gathering for a time of land blessing, sacred drumming, and intention-setting because we believe faith is lived not only in words, but in relationship with God, with one another, and with the land that holds us. Before we rush ahead, we want to pause, give thanks, and remember that we worship on sacred ground.
This land has been cared for long before our buildings stood here and it continues to care for us through shade and soil, water and wind, seasons and survival. To bless the land is to acknowledge that we belong to creation, not above it. It is a way of renewing our commitment to care for the earth as it so generously cares for us.
We are honored that Tony Redhouse will guide our time together through sacred drumming, reflection, and intention setting. This will be an opportunity to listen deeply, set our hearts, and mark the year ahead with humility, gratitude, and hope.
This gathering is for all and no experience required.
Together, we will begin again, grounded in gratitude, guided by Spirit, and rooted in the sacred desert we call home.
Registration is required. Sign up now!
