Mary Renaud and Cathie Carson discovered that this organization would accept all the donated wheelchairs, walkers, shower benches, etc. that the church had accumulated. In turn, PSMA will provide us with any medical equipment needed by members of our congregation and community, free of charge. We gain extra storage space and a terrific non-profit partner!

Read MoreSaguaro Christian Church has upgraded its styrofoam cooler cold-water cooler station to a Community Water Station, courtesy of Community on Wheels and Community Care Tucson. Community Water Stations provide publicly accessible drinking water to anyone who needs it. Stations are hosted primarily outside of privately owned locations that are open to the public and are strategically placed to serve vulnerable Tucsonans who struggle to stay hydrated in the desert heat.
Saguaro is the first church in Tucson to host a station. It is also the farthest east water station in Tucson.
Happy Pride Tucson!! Friday was the Pride Parade!! God is Love and Love always has the last word!! Wahoo!! Grateful to walk as a community of faith together to affirm all God’s beloved!

Read More At Casa Alitas we try to provide basic clothing (one set of underwear and socks) and if needed, shirt, pants, jacket, and if we have them, shoes. However, the new funding does not allocate money for clothing, so now, more than ever, clothing donations are needed. We are focused on only serving families with children under 10, pregnant women, and other vulnerable people. (Other LPAs are sent to another shelter, run by a for-profit entity.)
Saguaro has been faithful in making clothing donations; your ongoing support is valued. Please continue to remember those struggling to seek a better life here. Please bring your clothing donations to the large bin in our narthex.
