Our Sol Food Initiatives will host a cooking session after church on Sunday, February 19. Please join us to make two weeks worth of casseroles for our Wednesday night feeding program. Don't worry if you don't have great cooking skills - there is lots to do and we're willing to teach!

Honoring Our Lives: Advance Care Planning presentation
On Sunday, February 19 after the worship service, Rev. Karen MacDonald, M.Div., from Interfaith Community Services will present “Honoring Our Lives”, a time to learn about choices we can make now about how we wish to be treated when we may not be able to make our own decisions. The presentation will begin about 11:15am and last approximately an hour.

New Leadership Symposium offers Youth Leadership Training and Scholarships
High school youth are invited to register for Chapman University’s Youth Leadership Symposium, which will prepare them to be leaders in their local congregation. This is a free event, open to one high school age youth and one adult from every congregation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ. Learn more.

Donations for Aviva children
Saguaro's DWM (Disciples Women's Ministries) group is asking for donations for Aviva, an organization that helps children through DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services). The children are removed from their homes due to neglect or abuse and usually leave with very little.
We can help by donating underwear, socks, toys, books, or hygiene items for ages 0-18. There is a box in the front office for your donations.

Bring a memento for Saguaro’s ofrenda on All Saints Sunday, November 6
We invite you to bring a photo or memento of a loved one, or flowers or food, as we honor those who have gone before us. Additionally, you’ll have an opportunity to write a prayer or remembrance that will be placed in the urn as part of Tucson’s annual All Souls Procession.

Weave, Weave Us Together
We're having such a wonderful time together with our new sermon series. We are calling it Weave, Weave us Together. It's beautiful to think of generations upon generations weaving together stories and traditions. We get to participate in that weaving, albeit it metaphorically but still, imagine God weaving an intricate detailed piece of art.
Join us as we spend some time with SCC's 4 intentionalities (I know I know it's not a word, but it is for now) They are sacred, missional, intergenerational and inclusive.
