Quail Hour ~ AWAKENED in 2025!

Happy New Year!

You are invited to Quail Hour 2025 after church starting Sunday, January 12th. If you’ve joined this discussion group before, we want to let you know that it’ll be a little different this time. No book to buy, no reading to catch up on during your busy week… just come and add your voice to the conversation as we build and nurture a community to face the upcoming year together.

Our time in Advent was about being more intentional in the ways we welcome and make space for people; in our lives, around tables, in our neighborhood, in the world.

Quail Hour wants to be a place where all of you will feel welcome to join on any Sunday!

We will use the book AWAKENED that will surely spark insightful discussions about how we as People of Faith, Followers of Jesus, Disciples of Christ, and Christians can make a difference in the world that might seem to be more than we can handle alone.

Together we will read the short devotional study each Sunday as we explore 13 powerful themes that impact us in our daily life.

This unique 52-week book fuses head and heart with scripture, spiritual practice, progressive Christian insights, as well as respecting and honoring other faith traditions. If you’ve enjoyed the books we’ve read so far and what we’ve learned about ourselves and each other during Quail Hour 2024, we think this book fits well to guide us on the next steps in our journey. When we as progressive Christians AWAKEN to think about how our faith can impact the world around us, it might be a struggle to figure out where to start — there is so much work to do!

You are welcome to join us for Quail Hour any Sunday after church! We want to hear what YOU have to say as we share our experiences and ideas for love in action. Note: You do not need to purchase the book to be part of this group, but if you’d like one, we’ll have them available for you at a discounted price at the church office.
