Brady Scholarship Applications for 2026-27 academic year

Saguaro Christian Church has been the recipient of generous hearts and wise stewardship from long-time members, Allan and Marie Brady. Known for their astute investments and careful spending, Allan and Marie found themselves in a position to make major gifts to the Disciples' church causes dear to them.

Upon the settlement of the Brady’s estate in 2000, Saguaro Christian Church received an endowment (perpetual fund) that provides our church with an enduring pledge and income each year to do projects above and beyond our ordinary budget. Allan and Marie designated ministry areas of special interest to them for the use of the endowment income.

These interests include encouraging higher education. Part of the Creative Ministries area was designated for scholarships to support Disciples students in Tucson, with priority being given to Saguaro Christian family members. The Brady Scholarship funds are inclusive of most post-high school kinds of education, from short-term continuing education opportunities to technical schools; as well as college and university undergraduate to postgraduate education. We are excited that we can afford Disciples students this opportunity to mature in both faith and knowledge.

We are now accepting applications for the Brady Scholarship. To be considered for the 2026-27 academic year, applications must be completed and submitted to the Church office by June 4, 2026. Applications are available by calling the office 520-296-5901 or by emailing info@saguarochristian.org.

The Brady Scholarship awards will be made in mid-July, and recipients will be notified by mail.
