Hank is in training!

You may have seen this sweet face around in a meeting or wandering the halls of the administration building, but who is it? This guy with the tie-dye vest is Hank and he is training to be a therapy dog. What that means is that he is working to be a presence that brings some joy, comfort, or relieves some anxiety in spaces of grief, sickness, or just life. He is working with Pastor Jessica, his trainer (and mom too), to get accustomed to his new role. They are getting certified through Pet Partners, an organization that makes sure that therapy animals are equipped to serve in safe and meaningful ways. They would love to have an opportunity to meet with you if you want to have some quality Hank time. They can meet you in hospitals, in homes, in rehabs, in schools, at the library, at church - with a group, or just you. Hank enjoys hugs from kiddos and pats from seniors, but most of all Hank loves the little treat bag Pastor Jessica carries around while they are working.

If you would like a visit, have questions, or want to know more about the process of getting your pet certified through Pet Partners, reach out to Pastor Jessica at rev.jessicabraxton@saguarochristian.org or 252.525.2518.
