Garden Thoughts…

But first let me introduce myself.

I’m Sue/Susie Lebsack and I found Saguaro, divinely and specifically Kelley, not too long after my son, Noel died in July of 2019. I was walking my dogs and someone I hadn’t met said hello. She asked how I was doing and I honestly said, not too well. She told me she heard that there was a lady minister at Saguaro who might be good for me if I wanted to talk with someone. I ended up counseling with Kelley. I really do feel that was God in that unknown neighbor, in that moment in time. Owen was still here when I started going to the service and he reminded me so much of Noel with his taller stature and ginger hair. I became active with Sol Food and I still am. My mom Gloria gets me to church most Sundays!

I have been watering the pollinator garden a couple days a week. Being outside and one with nature is one way that I connect with spirit. The heat is hot, but it’s not on my mind when I am seeing the thirsty plants I am about to help by giving life saving water. I have even thought about giving them names, but there are too many for that! A cardinal came one day and another day, I looked up and the sky between the rooftops and saw an angel cloud like I have never seen before.

I am grateful that Saguaro came into my life and has helped to fill my Mind, Body, and Spirit!
