Gratitude Season at Saguaro
October 19 – November 9, 2025
Theme: A Season of Giving: Sacred Recipes, Shared Gifts
For our Season of Giving this year, we find ourselves moving steadily through fall. We’re in the midst of the school year, the work days seem to start way to early, and before we know it, it is eight o’clock at night! The cycles of busy and busier make every day, week, and month feel like they are flying by.
As we check off our to-do lists and race through the calendar faster than we thought possible, do you know what we forgot to do? Cook dinner!
As we pay the bills, finalize the house budget, and cover the mortgage, do you know what else we forgot to do? Assess our giving!
Saguaro is a community of generational generosity. Everyone has something to share! Generational Generosity recognizes places of reciprocal relationships where as we are filled, we in turn give: of our treasure, our time, our gifts, and our skills so that the whole kin-dom of God may flourish on earth as it is in heaven. We give because it's who we are. We give because we acknowledge our need for each other, for God and to become whole.
So for ‘Sacred Recipes, Shared Gifts,’ as we reflect on our commitments and pledges for the coming year, you are invited to share what your commitment will be, but also to share your favorite crockpot, casserole, or dessert recipe! Together, may we ensure there is food on every table, every night, no matter how busy the day is and that Saguaro Christian Church continues its ministries of feeding folks mind, body and spirt as food does so much more than feed bellies.
