Familiarize yourself with the exits in our worship space
From your Emergency Preparedness Team:
Previously it was mentioned that we have seven exits from the sanctuary. Some are easy to find and some are hard to find unless you know they're there.
First - the easy ones. There are 4 in the back of the sanctuary that most of us have probably used. They are numbered 3-6. The numbers are easy to read above each door.
Exit #1 is to the left of the altar, as you face forward. It exits into the Memorial Garden and from there you can exit the garden via two security gates.
#7 is to the side over where the children have had Worship and Wonder. It’s a big door that says “emergency exit only”, but is easy to miss.
Exit #2 is the hardest to find. It is to the far right of the altar as you face forward. You may have seen people walking back there to prepare communion before church. The door is around from where Keith sits at the piano and behind the drums.
Try to familiarize yourself with the various exits. If we were to have some type of emergency, leaders will tell you what doors to use and it is helpful if we all have some idea where the exits are, especially the “sneaky” ones!
