Sponsoring TIHAN's POZ Café: how you can help

Saguaro Christian Church is scheduled to be one of the faith communities to sponsor the March POZ Café for TIHAN together with St. Michael & All Angels and Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal. POZ Cafe is a monthly lunch for people living with HIV; while it's grab and go currently due to COVID, it's still incredibly important to those we serve. See what to donate and how to volunteer.

We're asked to donate the following:

For CarePackages:
160 rolls of 2-ply toilet paper
60 rolls of paper towels
60 boxes of facial tissue
40 bottles of small bleach or other disinfecting household cleaner
60 bars soaps or body wash

For Bingo prizes:
5 to 7 items valued at $10–$15 each

Although the lunches are still 'pick up and take home', a volunteer hosts the Bingo games on Zoom in the afternoon of POZ Café. Winners pick up their prizes later at the TIHAN office.

Volunteer opportunities:

1 or 2 volunteers to help on Wednesday, March 16 from 8:30-10:30 for unloading items and preparing CarePackages.

1 or 2 volunteers are also needed on Thursday, March 17 for boxing up meals (9-10am, indoors) and handing out CarePackages and meals (10am-1pm, outdoors) at St. Francis in the Foothills and Cornerstone Fellowship.

Please bring donations to the church office and notify Terry Bagwell (520-331-1715 or tbasketcase@cox.net) if you're available to volunteer for either of those opportunities.
