So Proud

Y'all,

As I said in the congregational meeting, I am so so SO proud of y'all. We did hard things together in 2020. The pandemic challenged everything we knew and yet.....you have still been church.

You've worshiped, served and grown together. We pivoted to online worship on March 15, 2020, making all of our homes sanctuaries. We claimed parking, green grass, cell phones, computers, iPads as holy spaces. Our kitchen tables have been communion tables, We lit candles each week remembering we aren't alone because God is with us.

We've had zoom Bible studies, Care teams, Together Thursdays, Young Adult nights, coloring nights, choir, held meetings online, made decisions online, and sang together online. Your leadership has learned so much about technology as we leaned into this new adventure.

And y'all your giving has been solid, your love has been relentless and your resiliency unparalleled.
Y'all have been amazing! I am so so SO proud!!!

Sol Food Initiatives (our Non Profit) created a program to get food to people who needed it: Sol Food Delivered. We changed Wednesday Nights and added Heart and Sol Cooks (volunteers for Saguaro who help cook the meal) to our Caridad Meal Night. Sol Food Initiatives hired a part time Program Director.
Saguaro Infant Care and Preschool has managed their kiddos and classes with grace and have provide a much needed service to essential workers. The students and their families know how loved they are and are learning amazing things in their classes.

We've found ways to say "See Ya Later" to our beloved Owen and his family as we celebrated his ministry with us.

We've found ways to celebrate and grieve with each other through the births and deaths of some of our beloved Saguaro Saints.

I am so so so proud and grateful and honored to serve you.

And.I CAN NOT wait to see you in person in our sanctuary. But until that day comes, keep being the church, keep doing the hard things, keep wearing your masks, don't be risky because we're in this together and friends we will do this! Because we are Saguaro! We got this!
